The Situation: A Need for Integrated State-of-the-Art Data Security
When this global leader in customer engagement solutions, dedicated to making customer service and sales simple, decided to move one of its operations to a new 4,000 square foot facility, they turned to Protection 1 for their security requirements.
The company's platform and applications use big data and predictive analytics to understand customers and drive better service and sales results for enterprise customers. It specializes in connecting customer interactions across an enterprise's web, mobile, chat, social and phone channels based on cloud solutions. Its customer base includes Global 100 leaders in financial services, retail, telecommunications, technology and travel industries. Because the company houses it customers' sensitive data, security is a critical component of its operations.
For their new facility, the organization wanted a new integrated security system using state-of- the-art technologies. This company had been a customer of Protection 1 for the past five years and always found the attention to details and level of customer service to be of the highest level. This made Protection 1 the obvious choice to design and implement their new security system.
The Solution: Intrusion Protection plus Advanced Access Control and IP-Video
The integrated security solution would need to provide not only intrusion protection for the building but also access control technology, complete with biometrics and IP-video cameras. After a thorough survey of the facility, Protection 1 proposed a Brivo OnSite Server, an appliance- based access control system, as the basis for the solution. This particular solution has the capacity to host up to 1,000 card readers. It also supports a variety of 3rd party components such as video recorders, wireless locks, intrusion detection and biometric systems. Among its built-in features are graphic maps, badge creation and printing capabilities, text/email event notifications, anti-pass back and customizable reporting.
The access control system was then integrated into the intrusion detection system as well as paired with a new IP-Video solution. The video solution not only captures footage of events in the facility but is also used to provide remote viewing for video verification of alarms from both the intrusion and access control systems. Finally, for an added layer of security beyond traditional card readers, Protection 1 installed biometric thumbprint scanners and integrated them into the access control solution as well.
The Results: A Smooth Transition
This company's transition to its new location went very smoothly and the organization is now enjoying its new facility knowing that their people, property and customer data are safe and secure.
