Protection 1 Legal Disclaimers and Details
Should you move to a new home during the term of your agreement with Protection 1, we will activate a new or existing security system at your new location within our service area and will provide you up to $150 credit toward that activation.
Terms and Conditions
- You must have a minimum one-year satisfactory account history at the previous address.
- You must be the owner of the new location.
- You must sign our standard residential monitoring contract for the new location.
- The system activated pursuant to this program shall consist of the system components recommended by Protection 1 and approved by you at that time.
Protection 1 services are not available in all areas.
Subject to the terms and conditions below, if you suffer a theft loss because of burglary of your monitored premises, as part of our SafetyNet program, we will reimburse your paid homeowners insurance deductible up to $1,000. If you have a monitored smoke or high-temperature (heat) sensor, we will also reimburse up to $1,000 of your paid deductible if you suffer a loss because of fire.
Terms and Conditions
We will reimburse you under this program only if, at the time of your loss, you are our customer and your payments and contract obligations to us are current. Within 90 days of the occurrence causing the loss you must provide us:
- A copy of your filed insurance claim.
- Proof of your payment of the deductible portion of your homeowners insurance.
- A copy of the declarations page from the insurance policy.
- A copy of either the police or fire report documenting the loss.
To obtain reimbursement, your system must be armed and our monitoring center must receive an alarm signal from your premises at the time of the occurrence. This program applies to residential systems only and may be modified or discontinued upon 30 days' prior notice to you. Reimbursements are limited to one reimbursement per occurrence and two reimbursements in any consecutive 12-month period. SafetyNet is not a form of insurance, and no employee or representative of Protection 1 is authorized to offer or recommend insurance to you.

If you select PrimeCell service, a radio or cellular transmission device will be your alarm system's only communications link with our monitoring center. To provide your SecureTouch Services, we will utilize e-mail addresses provided by you and will transmit to those addresses notification of selected events as received from your system at our alarm monitoring center (the "Center"). The recipient's e-mail software must be compatible with our e-mail system, and any additional software or hardware purchases necessary to assure compatibility will be at the recipient's expense. There may be times when we and/or the recipient are unable to send or receive e-mail, and e-mail transmissions may be impaired or interrupted by conditions or circumstances beyond our control, including telecommunications failures, Internet failures, computer viruses or problems with Internet service providers. We are not responsible for adjustments or repairs to the recipient's e-mail or Internet service.
Switch and Save Offer
Requires that you sign a three-year monitoring contract starting at $19.95/per month (36-month total starting at $718.20.) Prices vary by market. A $49 activation fee may apply if control panel and keypad are locked out by existing provider. Offer applies to new customers with satisfactory credit ratings. Customer must be the homeowner. Offer may not be combined with any other offer and may be discontinued at any time without notice. Protection 1 services not available in all areas. Certain other restrictions may apply. This offer is not valid until any existing monitoring contract with another provider has been terminated. Customer is responsible for cancellation of monitoring contract with existing provider and all costs associated with the cancellation.
Discount to Homeowners Insurance
Discounts to homeowners insurance premiums because of your installation of a monitored alarm system may vary. Protection 1 is not responsible for, nor does it guarantee, discounts or reductions to your homeowners insurance premiums. You should consult your insurance agent for details.
Refer a Friend Program
Your credit for referrals is contingent upon the referred customer signing a three-year agreement and payment of the installation and first month's monitoring fees. The credit shall not exceed a total amount of $50.00 per referral. This offer may be modified or discontinued at any time.
We Miss You Offer or $50 Credit to Account
Requires a basic system installation fee starting at $99 and that you sign a three-year monitoring contract starting at $25.95/per month (36-month total starting at $934.20.) Prices vary by market.
